Successful Workshop on Community Engagement

 

A group of Sapientis program participants, members of the network and allies for education attended a workshop coordinated by Sapientis titled “The Role of the Community Engagement Promoter”.

• The workshop was offered by Professor Ramón Daubón, an expert in organization and community development.

• The focus of the workshop was to explain how we can rethink the concept of community development from the role of the civic entrepreneur.

• Participants received information about the practical tools that can be implemented in the process of facilitating community dialogue.

• 100% of the participants rated the workshop as useful and 93% indicated that the topics that were discussed were very relevant to their daily reality.  In addition, 87% said that the workshop was one of the best professional development experiences that they have had.
