Sapientis’ diverse network continues to grow and solidify. The goal of the network is to advocate for a high quality public education and contribute to the process of transforming the educational system.
Sapientis Week 2009 Leaves its Mark

Six distinguished personalities served as voluntary public school teachers by participating in Sapientis Week, an initiative that seeks to focus attention on public schools. This is the fourth consecutive year that Sapientis celebrated this initiative, which impacts students in different public schools throughout Puerto Rico.

Taste of Rum Fest to Benefit Sapientis

Sapientis received a $5,000 donation from the organizers of the Taste of Rum Fest, which attracted a varied audience to enjoy a night of live shows and tastings of local and international rums while at the same time supporting the organization.

Successful Workshop on Community Engagement
A group of Sapientis program participants, members of the network and allies for education attended a workshop coordinated by Sapientis titled “The Role of the Community Engagement Promoter”.

The school year began with a new group of fellows that join the program. This group, dedicated to improving the quality of education not only in their schools but also in Puerto Rico, is comprised of teachers, school principals and support staff from different points of the Island.
